Christian Partnership in rural guatemala
WIND Guatemala is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with local leaders, families, schools, and churches in rural Guatemala. Our work is centered in San Juan Cotzal, a predominantly Indigenous community in the Guatemalan Highlands.
Through long-term relationships, WIND supports Christian education, child sponsorship, nutrition, health care, family programs, mission teams, and biblical training for pastors and church leaders. Rather than entering a community briefly and moving on, we seek to walk alongside the people we serve, supporting locally led efforts that strengthen physical, educational, and spiritual well-being.

Long-Term Impact in San juan cotzal
Since WIND began partnering with Colegio Horeb in San Juan Cotzal, the Christian school has grown from 28 students to nearly 500.
WIND has helped Colegio Horeb provide more stable salaries for its local teachers. They once worked without pay, but are now making a living wage.
WIND supports scholarships for Guatemalan students from kindergarten through university. We currently have a Colegio Horeb graduate attending medical school and one recently graduated from law school.
WIND helped to establish kindergarten and middle school levels at Colegio Horeb.
WIND’s 21 Girls and El Camino child sponsorship programs encourage students to remain in school.
WIND has helped fund three school buildings containing 12 classrooms and a multipurpose sports court.
WIND and its ministry partners have helped provide biblical training to more than 1,000 pastors and church leaders in Guatemala.
WIND mission teams have installed safer wood-burning stoves in more than 100 family homes.
WIND has established an emergency medical fund which has enabled many students and family members to receive critical medical attention.
WIND supports a feeding program that provides nutritious lunches to students experiencing malnutrition.
